A Moment in the Sun: Reconnecting After Two Years
At Cherish, we believe it’s often the simplest moments that mean the most.
One of our clients, Elizabeth Parkin, hasn’t been able to leave her bed in over two years. But with the support of her carer, Cara Crowder, and a bit of sunshine on our side, we were able to take her outside to enjoy her garden once again.
For us, it served as a poignant reminder of our Cherish care values. These quiet, meaningful moments aren’t always grand, but they are deeply important. They are what person-centred care is all about, bringing dignity, joy, and human connection to everyday life.
We’re so grateful to Cara for her care and kindness, and to Elizabeth for allowing us to share this story.
